WHAT DOES THE GOVERNMENT DO ABOUT IT?
Many Governments around the world are spending money to help sustain our fresh water supply and stop water scarcity from happening. Like Canada have spent 6.8 million dollars on putting restrictions in place to help sustain their water. America have also borrowed money from the world Bank for sustaining there water. Even Australia has done something about helping, well actual they didn't do it. In 2010 Brisbane was having massive droits in there water dames so the government was going to build pipelines from the sunshine coast to Brisbane. So what they did first was sell the Queensland water asset to a private company so they would have to do, what heroes.
Although many large countries have put money into sustaining our water supply the large countries are the only ones that can offered it. We all think that these countries are great because they are spending such large sums of money to sustain the water for future generation. But they are not really the money they spend on it is just money they have left over. The Canada government Government get over $271.4 billion each year in tax and 6.8 million dollars to sustain water supplies is dog scraps out of $271.4 billion. The reason smaller countries don’t spend that much on the problem is just plain because they can’t afford it. So next time you go and thank the government for what they are doing for our water ask them why they don’t spend a little more on helping everyone else.
